What Debbie’s students have to say:

“Debbie challenges me to completely dissect a character, revealing new and bold choices that make me successful in every audition."  ~Lindsay Mendez, "Godspell" "Grease" "Marvelous Wonderettes" "Everyday Rapture"

"Debbie, and her wonderful sense of humor, always put me at ease throughout the constant stresses of the college process.  She helped me decide which schools would be the best fit for me as a student and artist.  Together, we trudged through tons of monologues to find the few that best fit me and would help me shine in my auditions.  Her analytical knowledge, paired with her sensitivity to
full honest acting, helped me bring out the most of myself from the page to the would-be terrifying audition room.  Without Debbie, I would not have ended up at my dream school! Oh, and what a writer!"
~Sydney Matthews, New York University/ Tisch School of the Arts/ Atlantic Acting School

“Debbie Lamedman was the answer to all of my problems and questions.  She gave me the tools to break down a script and helped me build strong characters, whether it be for one piece or preparing for an audition. Debbie’s positive and encouraging attitude lifted my spirits and made me more confident. I wouldn’t be in the direction I am without her.”    ~Katelyn Maggi, Chapman University

"Debbie has taught me how to infuse my own personal instincts into my acting in a way that constantly opens my mind to new opportunities for self-discovery and growth.  Her coaching  has not only made me feel comfortable when approaching material, but it keeps me grounded and true to myself through the process.  The tools I have acquired after having been with Debbie have helped me tremendously in multiple scenarios and I am truly grateful to have learned from one of the best."
~Kensie Sanchez, University of California, Irvine

“Debbie was my first acting teacher and provided me with a solid foundation for my acting technique. As I mature as an actress and woman, she has challenged and inspired me to push beyond my limits. As a coach and mentor, Debbie is an unbelievably talented professional who knows how to teach you to reach for the best within yourself.”   ~Jessica Bunge, San Francisco State University; British American Drama Academy

"Debbie Lamedman is truly the acting coach that every actor wishes they could work with. Her knowledge and ability to push her students to achieve their full potential is truly a remarkable gift. She helped me realize my abilities and my weaknesses, and worked diligently with me to improve every dimension of my craft. She is in every way possible, a true artist." ~ Ben Garrett, Marymount Manhattan

“Debbie first helped me with monologues during a summer stock program I was in, where I had to tackle an eight minute monologue in “A Chorus Line.” I had no idea where to begin, how to approach the work, how to break it down, etc. Debbie’s coaching played a major role in my work on the monologue, from my analysis of it, to my performance on stage. She has a unique way of figuring out what is blocking your work and then coming up with a solution that makes sense to you. When I needed monologue suggestions for a workshop I was taking in New York City, I immediately went to Debbie for help. We did a Skype session together, and not only was I surprised by the number of monologues she came up with, I was surprised by how many of them (almost all) I wanted to use as audition pieces. She was very specific in her pre-coaching prep about asking me for the monologues I liked, the plays/playwrights I found interesting, and the roles I saw myself playing. And she was very thorough during the coaching when she broke down the monologues for me and explained why she saw me using them."   ~Brian Chin, NYU, Tisch School of the Arts
